6.0 Magnitude Earthquake EASTERN TURKEY - 23rd Oct 2011
A magnitude 6.0 earthquake has struck Eastern Turkey at a depth of just 9.8 km ( 6.1 miles), the quake hit at 20:45:37 UTC Sunday 23rd October 2011.The epicenter was 20 km ( 13 miles) WNW of Van, Turkey
85 Confirmed dead - As many as 1000 feared dead as many buildings have collapsed
excess of 60 big aftershocks
