A magnitude 5.0 earthquake has struck the Jan Mayen Island Region at a depth of 16.6 km ( 10.3 miles), the quake hit at 02:32:22 UTC Tuesday 25th October 2011.The epicenter was 613 km ( 380 miles) East of Ittoqqortoormiit (Scoresbysund), Greenland
